Hi, welcome to Blue Velvet Designs :) We make made-to-order iron-on vinyl clothing here in South Africa — baby milestone grows, matching sibling sets, colour-pop kids tees, and a few tongue-in-cheek pieces for the grown-ups too.
It started the way most of these things do: making one-off pieces for family and friends, and realising how much joy a well-timed, well-made design can bring. A "Big Sis, Lil Bro" set for a new sibling announcement. A milestone bodysuit for a baby's first year. A slightly cheeky tank for the mom who's earned the joke. Every one of them cut, weeded and pressed by hand.
We're not chasing trends — we're chasing the reaction you get when someone opens the parcel and it's exactly right. That's still the whole point.
Every order — ready-made or fully custom — goes through the same five steps.
Quality baby, kids and adult blanks sourced first, in every size we stock.
Each design is plotted and cut from iron-on vinyl on a precision cutter.
The excess vinyl is picked away by hand, letter by letter, shape by shape.
Every design is heat-pressed on with the right time, temperature and pressure.
A final check for placement, adhesion and finish before it ships.
